The Most Advanced 3G/UMTS and IP Video Calling
Services Platform
Vitrage is the most advanced platform for the
deployment of live and interactive mobile and IP video
calling services. Vitrage-based video services offer the
means to effectively increase 3G traffic while opening up
new premium rate revenue streams.
Vitrage is designed to remove the complexity
of video telephony service implementation, allowing operators and
service providers to concentrate on their core business and not
the underlying technology of video services. The platform offers
a range of application development options, from a GUI-based
service creation environment (SCE) that empowers marketing
departments to take charge of application development, to
advanced web and API interfaces enabling complex service
development and system integration.
Vitrage offers a completely flexible
operating environment, enabling it to be operated in-house
or as part of a
hosted service environment. Its high availability
architecture supports the deployment of multiple services
running simultaneous for one or more service providers, with
the ability to seamlessly scale caller capacity. The
platform's comprehensive content management facilities allow
a wide range of content sources, from the system's own
internal repository, to recorded UGC, live cameras, RTSP
streams and other external sources.
The figure below provides an overview of
the interactions available with the Vitrage platform and the
various methods for delivering live, interactive and
recorded video content:

Hosted Service
Environment |
| |
Vitrage is designed to provide hosted
video services. In hosted environments, multiple content
providers can be hosted on a single Vitrage platform, each
receiving their own service partitions. Each content
provider receives its own set of services, such as service
creation environment, presenters, access numbers, etc.
The following features are available for
hosted environments: |
|
Multiple service partitions
within the same system |
|
A presenter can serve more than one
content provider, and thus more than one service
partition |
|
Multiple access numbers to the same
service |
|
Call flow for services can be
scheduled, such as on an hourly basis per day or day of
the week.
