Vitrage O2m™ makes interactive video
distribution a reality. A live presenter can cast a live presentation to the handsets of multiple callers. Unlike standard Distribution systems, Vitrage O2m includes full interactivity between the recipients and the presenter. It can be used in various applications, such as product launches and virtual press conferences, as well as in e-learning, religious and entertainment programs.
The solution can be implemented with the following variations:
One2many Distribution: Live
video distribution. Possible applications include virtual reality, monitoring and surveillance, road traffic reports, news distribution, sports distribution, and live TV broadcasts.
Interactive One2many Distribution: The audience can interact with the presenter online. The interaction is similar to MCU systems (multi-point conferencing units), at a lower cost. Possible applications include virtual reality, interactive sports distribution (chats), e-learning and religious broadcasts.
Supervised interactive One2many Distribution: In addition to the interactive functionality, it includes setting policies and granting permission to speak.

How It Works
Vitrage O2m is based on iPoint-media’s Vitrage platform with its patent pending large-scale video switching & distribution technology. This H.323 soft-switch technology features full conferencing capabilities and sophisticated audio mixing and includes a unique “one-to-many” distribution technology that duplicates video and audio streams.

Vitrage O2m includes a built-in video portal. The video portal can be used as a main entrance or gateway for:

Built-in Content Repository
Vitrage O2m features a built-in content repository. The presenter can easily display multimedia content, such as a video clip, to an audience by simply choosing it from the content repository. The clip will then appear on the their screens.
Supports the Centrex Model
Vitrage O2m supports the shared hosting/Centrex model. Its administration module allows for the creation of hosted services partitions.

The presenter uses a simple application that allows for hands-free operation from the beginning to the end of the conference.

The One2many system provides real-time information on active connections, presenters and system status.

The automatic mode allows hands-free operation by the presenter; the viewers are selected and granted permission to speak automatically. The next customer to become active is selected from a queue on a first-come, first-served basis.
