Techno-Trends and iPoint-media partner for the provisioning of 3G video calling applications and services
3G video calling aggregation and content delivery is a new
revenue generating arena
Tel Aviv – Tuesday, October 11, 2005 – iPoint-media,
a leading provider of 3G/IP applications and services platform, announced
today an agreement with Techno-Trends, a Spanish video communications systems
integrator (SI) and Applications Services Provider (ASP). Under this agreement,
Techno-Trends will use iPoint-media Vitrage platform to operate as a host and
aggregator of 3G video calling services.
"Over the last few months, we have been watching how
European mobile operators were rapidly deploying 3G video calling handsets and services,"
said Ernest Companyes, CEO of Techno-Trends. "Following this mass deployment, there is a need for aggregation services to take advantage of available 3G video calling infrastructure. We have identified a few areas to focus on, such as video
call centers and helpdesks, hosted video banking, video healthcare and hosted
live video content provisioning." Companyes added, "After a careful market study and
investigation, we have selected iPoint-media's Vitrage to be our application
platform for provisioning hosted video calling services. The Vitrage platform will
enable us to deliver applications to the market very quickly and thus address
market needs as they arise."
"We are extremely pleased to partner with Techno-Trends
for the provisioning of 3G video calling value-added services," said Muki Geller,
CEO of iPoint-media. "While the operators focus on the deployment of 3G video
calling infrastructure, there is an opportunity for aggregators and providers
of hosted services to drive market demand and supply of 3G video calling and
content services. This new market represents a significant opportunity."
iPoint-media and Techno-Trends will jointly market the
solutions and services. Techno-Trends will host and operate the services
and also manage premium numbers and short code contracts. Both Vitrage ViCT
, the video interaction center and Vitrage O2mT, the live and interactive One2many distribution product,
will operate under Techno-Trends aggregation service. The applications and the
services will be developed using the Vitrage MiVRT service creation application.
About iPoint-media Ltd.
iPoint-media specializes in the development
and sale of interactive video solutions, iPoint-media's leading solution is the VitrageT
video applications and services platform that targets 3G/UMTS and IP networks.
Vitrage is a complete suite of applications
designed for implementing video telephony-enabled contact and services
centers. Vitrage is used by the operator or the aggregator to provide services,
such as customer-operator meeting points, helpdesk, campaign centers, points-of-sale,
entertainment and leisure. Designed for a hosting environment, Vitrage
allows the mobile operator and aggregator to license video calling functions to
business organizations, which can, in turn, start video services without the need
to invest significantly in infrastructure, which is in line with
the Centrex model.
The Vitrage platform contains three products: Vitrage
ViCT , the video interaction center, and Vitrage O2mT, a live and interactive One2many
casting product. Together, they provide a complete, interactive video experience
for both inbound and outbound communications for localized or hosted
deployments. Vitrage also includes an innovative, embedded Multimedia
Interactive Voice Response (MiVR) system. The Vitrage MiVRT is a
self-service solution that performs similarly to the familiar (voice) IVR,
with a new dimension provided by video. Vitrage MiVR
features customizable call flows with prebuilt menus, media content and clips.
VitrageT
