iPoint-media signs marketing agreement with leading telecom infrastructure vendor
Video application platform to be offered to vendor's worldwide installed base
Newbury, UK – November 12, 2007 – iPoint-media (LSE:IPNT),
a provider of live IP video calling application and user
generated content platforms for mobile broadband, announces the
signing of a marketing cooperation agreement with a leading
telecom infrastructure vendor. As part of the agreement, the
vendor will market iPoint-media's video calling application
platforms to its worldwide installed base of mobile broadband
telecom operators as a means of increasing video traffic. The
directors believe that this agreement is likely to generate
significant revenues for the Company over the next 30 months.
As 3G mobile phone handset
adoption rates rise, with several countries now approaching 20
percent penetration, operators are in need of services that
increase video traffic and encourage more customers to upgrade
to 3G. iPoint-media's Vitrage video calling application platform
provides operators with the means to easily create and deploy a
wide range of live interactive video services including video
chats, video blogging and video call centers, as well as the
broadcasting of live and recorded user generated content (UGC)
to the web, mobile and other forms of media. iPoint-media
platforms also offer operators the ability to operate
applications and host services for multiple content providers on
a single platform.
