generated content video calling services
Israel, Tel-Aviv – February 7, 2007
– iPoint-media (LSE:IPNT), a provider of 3G/IP video interactive
application platforms, announces the release of version 2 of its
popular Vitrage™ platform. Vitrage version 2 enables the
deployment of video calling services focused on user generated
content, offering Telecom Operators, Content Aggregators and
Media & Broadcast companies the means to implement new types of
service formats.Vitrage version 2
includes enhanced application modules that enable the recording,
storing and forwarding of user generated video from 3G and
Internet webcam users. Utilizing these modules, new forms of
video calling services can be created that allow video callers
to record their own generated content. The new formats can be
utilized with live video calling applications that are
integrated with other media, including TV broadcasts, such as
“Participation TV”, or stored for use with other video services.
Joseph Daniel, iPoint-media VP Sales &
Marketing commented:
“The ability for users to create and share
their own content is rapidly becoming an essential element of
interactive video calling services. iPoint-media’s Vitrage
platform enables telecom operators, content aggregators and
media companies to quickly develop and deploy new types of
revenue generating video service formats that leverage user
generated content from 3G handsets and Internet webcams."

Vitrage version 2 include the addition of the SIP protocol,
making Vitrage compatible with IMS infrastructures, and audio
enhancements offered by support for the AMR audio standard.
Vitrage version 2 also offers new billing and integration
capabilities, enabling more flexibility in deploying premium and
pre-paid video services, easing compliance with regulator
demands for call duration limits, and improved integration with
external applications and business rule engines.
